Finally the boat is back in the water. The 300 tonnes travel lift decided to breakdown and was out of commission for over a week. This has meant that all the big boats and the cats couldn’t be launched and when it was fixed there was a massive back log of boats waiting to get into the water. So we have spent over 2 weeks living on the boat in the middle of an industrial boat yard, getting covered in dust and with the constant sound of grinders and machines going 18 hours a day.
The trouble is we couldn’t go any where in case we lost our position in the re launch queue and we are still trying to get things added and fixed on the boat – extra solar panels and yet more modification to the generator.
We are both looking forward in getting away from the marina and back to cruising mode
